A little trip to beat the heat

Took a little one day trip to beat the heat of Northern California. The summit of Hwy 50 heading into the Lake Tahoe basin is around 7500 ft. Fallen Leaf Lake is a place I had been going to since 1955. If you saw the movie "City of Angels" with Meg Ryan and Nickolas Cage, the cabin footage was shot here.

You pick a great weekend to beat the heat, I was helping my son in law install his home A/C and I believe it was 103 by 4PM. I would have loved to be near the lake, can't wait till I finish my paint and get the T back on the road. Hope the traffic around the lake wasn't too bad, bet you even caused a few slow downs by others trying to get a better look a your T :winkn:

This is at the "Y" (hwy 50 & 89 at South Shore) he was kind enough to ask if he could take a picture, I said "sure" but I wasn't quick enough to get a picture of him taking his picture of me.

Photoman, it is a 355 sbc 1969 350 350hp vette motor that has a not so mild cam and dyno's at 386 hp @ 5900 but hp peak is at 6400. M20 wide ratio 4 speed from a 1964 vette and Jag IRS with 3.54 gears. Weight with 15 gallons of fuel is 1790 lbs.
