I'm using a Speedway spoon in mine. I had the same brand in my car for years and it was not the best design, the arm would slip on the shaft sometimes but I ground a flat spot on the shaft and locktited the screw to make it acceptable. Then I replaced with the new version they sell when I redid the car a couple of years ago, it is a much improved version. The shaft is now segmented so you can index the arm where you want it and it has two positive locking screws so it can never slip out of alignment again.

I've been looking at the new Lokar floor mount pedal. The accelerator cable goes under the floor instead of thru the firewall. Might be a good alternative for some jobs.
