Just would like your opinion on the speedway dropped tube axle if you are running one. Are the welds good? Any failures?

I have the 48 inch wide and 4 inch drop with chevy spindles the welds look good and have not had any problems but i only have 675 miles on my car.

I bought my front end parts from RPM. He makes his own front axles and components and is also a Speedway dealer. So I was able to order his items and the Speedway items from one place. RPM's radius rods are much stouter than those sold by Speedway and not as expensive. Keep in mind, Speedway is good. I buy some of their stuff. But, Ron Pope uses the parts he makes to build cars for customers. He makes them right.

there's been some scuttle on a couple other forums that Speedway supplied cast axles may have caused a couple of failure related accidents recently. the word is that the axles are cast and not forged. no personal experience here... I'm just sayin'. the pics I've seen do appear to confirm that however.
