Having just been through a contentious Presidential election cycle, I am thankful that we live in America where there is a peaceful transition of power, and not in a country where a military coup is the norm. Regardless of your political persuasion, we know that our system of government, a constitutional republic, with checks and balances built-in, and an opportunity every 4 years to change the leadership is the best in the world - albeit a little messy at times. The older I get the more I appreciate the freedoms we have and the foresight of our founding fathers in establishing our nation on enduring principles. It's up to us to live up to those principles. And . . . one of the freedoms I enjoy most is the freedom to build an outrageous automobile like a T-bucket and share my pursuit of that happiness with you all. What a neat thing!!!
