Brake Pedal Travel

There's no "right" answer to this... It depends on your M/C, how much stroke does it have? Your pedal ratio? Other linkage? One thing for sure, your M/C should see full stroke when you have the bleeder open and pushing air/fluid out, what that distance is depends on the make and manufacturer of the M/C see if you can find the specs. and what you have . The pedal should have a little free play at rest so the M/C piston can return FULLY!

I have never had any luck bleeding my T's brakes the conventional way. I think it's due to the low MC. A vacuum bleeder ($25-30) will get your pedal "high and hard" in about 10 minutes with no assistant.

Boy I could say something 'bout that "High & Hard" but this is a family website............LOL.....
