As you may know, I've a few pals in Scotland and try to get across there every now and again. I just talked to one pal and we worked out the current price of gasoline/petrol, from their GBP/litre to our $/gallon. They're paying nearly $8/gallon at present.tfeverfred said:
That tends to temper things a bit, doesn't it? Of course they all drive economical vehicles and not the gas pigs we're all used to driving.
This particular fellow lives in Perthshire, just north of Stirling and makes the 110-120 mile round trip to pick me up at the Glasgow airport when I go across. And another 110-120 trip to take me back. That usually costs me a nice dinner or two!
