Clearance

From what I read I need 2" to 3" inch clearance between the rear axle tubes and the frame. What about the center section? Is 3" enough for the center?

I am trying to figure how high to make the rear kick up. It will be exposed with gas tank mounted to the kick up. Something like this pic I posted.

The center is usually forward of the frame so will not interfere with the frame. Just keep the gas tank 3” above the chunk. May be sure you have bump this to keep rear to tank space.

Sure would like to see more of that salt car! Was it a for sure racer?

OLF No idea on the car just a pic I found on the web and saved. I like it also.

Had friends that held C street roadster at 185 or so about20 years ago. That is probably not the racer. Sits to high and no safety equipment. Owner may have held the record with another car. Looking forward to yours.
