What should be the minimum amount of spline on the yoke going into the transmission? Reason I am asking is because I have approx. 1.5" of spline that actually has contact. Should I take the driveshaft and have them lengthen it? I know it would hurt but better safe then sorry...

When i had mine made the guy wanted two things,The measurements from the center of the U-Joint in the rear yolk to the back of the trans.Tell your drive shaft guy that dimention and he will tell you how long it should be.Thats what i did anyway.Mine came out to 8" from center to center of the U-Joints

I think you will be just fine. Normally you would push the yoke all the way in then pull it out about 1-1 1/2 " ...........and that may be just what you have.

Your right Ron, its a little over 1.5" from the tranny... The way I measured, I have 1.5"'s of spline, I neglected to think about that after I rebuilt the rear end setup. :sad:
