Foot space in a hi boy

Howdy
I'm new here. Looking for some ideas about foot room (pictures would be great) for a hi-boy - that is with an unchanneled '23 body. I have a vision of an early race car style with a belly pan to cover the frame rails and maybe the front of the floor under the frame. I saw a picture of a hiboy style '23 touring and I was gob smacked at how much space it had.

Build a permeter frame with the bottom of the rail rolled instead of a sharp break. Setting the body on top of the rails is going to make it look thick with a say 6 to 8" belly pan. You could add a turtle deck to it to make it look longer and sleeker.

Gotta agree with Youngster. T'-Buckets just don't look right hi boy style.
 
Thanks Youngster I didn't explain myself. A turtle deck is one of the key point for the old race car styling and adds 36" to to the body which helps to take the height away and sets up a much nicer visual balance that any car with a pick up bed or just a tank. My frame is 35"-36" wide under the body and around 4" deep. So any floor or interior pics for me?

One of my favorite T's was the one Tom Prufer had Ron Covel build like the Rod & Custom rendition. They used 2 1/2 x 2 tubing for the frame and set the body on top of the rail. Ron then formed aluminum pannels that extended the curve of the rear panel below the frame. These where the sides of the belly pan that extended the full length of the car. The car was featured in the Oct. '74 issue of Rod Action. If that what you had in mind then you have my undivided attention.

I'm not familiar with the Prufer car and found heaps of references to it on Google but strangely enough no pics.

If you can find a copy of that issue there's a great color layout of the car. During the build they ran a series of reports on it's progress. Those would be of great value to someone building this type of 'T'.

Another issue that has lots of great info on T's is the January '74 Rod and Custom. There are articals on T Bucket aesthetics,door kits windshield installation, frames and more. Some of the stuff is pretty dated but there's lots of good info especially if your planning a build and looking for ideas.

Well that is a sweet looker for sure but a little more up budget than I had in mind - try and picture some thing just immediately post WW2 but it will have disc brakes and while I have a 221 flat motor here I'm going to go with an old inline six speedway engine I have.
So no interior photos of hi-boy T's anybody?
