Garage-mahal

Its been warm up here and was walking the dog and a guy a couple of streets up had his garage door open. Besides the 32 ford he had in there he had a bar, a big screen tv, a sound system and numerous car related stuff. The floor epoxied and the whole garage was extremly well lit. He said it was the only room his wife would let him decorate. I told him what a great American he was.

Anyone else have a cool garage? I need ideas.

I can deal with a tv, frig, and epoxy, but I draw the line at couches, recliners, and full wet bar. It's a garage fer God's sake, it's a place to actually do something,
not sit on your ass and watch TV.

And QUIT PAINTING THEM BLACK AND ORANGE HARLEY STYLE!!!
I'm a diehard Harley rider, but the Harley themed garages are getting a little old.

BTW, I hate the "man cave" designation, it's gotten way over done too.

Tools go in garages, and shops. I do have a couple of dorm fridges, one for tape, and paint stuff, and one for drinks. My bar is the work bench, when I can get to it. A radio is all I have, but a tv would be nice at times. I agree with the Man Cave designation being over done. To each his own I guess. My wife don't have a Woman Cave, unless it is the kitchen. It would be nice to have a sanitary shop, but I am to lazy, or messy to keep it that way.
Merry Christmas guys, Lee

Right now I got the mini fridge and a stereo. Also got a computer for looking stuff up. I would rather have great lighting than a tv. I got to have tunes when wrenching.

Yep, good music goes with hot rods and building them. For me, a little SRV, ZZ Tops, Segar, and lots of others. Your mileage may very on that.
Have a great Christmas gang.

I'd be happy just having a garage...or a good sized workshop shed <sigh>.

If I did have either with the space to spare, I'd love to have a small fridge, a comfy old recliner, and a TV. Before any of those, I'd want AC, heat, and a composting toilet. With my mobility issues getting in and out of the house is a lot of hassle...with all of that I would be able to spend a lot longer periods in the garage/shop.

If I were to get into decor stuff, I'd go with a Cities Service theme. Growing up, two brothers that were close friends of my dad ran a Cities Service station. From the earliest I can remember, until my early teens, spending a couple Saturday hours hanging out at the station was the norm rather than the exception. Also, a lot of my toys back then were Cities Service promotion toys. I'd really get into a few signs, and maybe a clock...but that would be as far as I'd likely go. As cool as old gas pumps and air stations are, the prices are beyond what I could justify.

I have a messy garage. Clean it up every 6 months. I do have a crappy old recliner and a 25 year old tv that still works. I sit and watch the tube while I smoke a cigar and drink a beer. My hot rod right next to me. I like it.

My hot rod right next to me. I like it.

Me too. I pump in Netflix on my laptop and work away. I like escaping the world and just being around my roadster.
