Happy New Year

Mike

Well-Known Member
Well, here we are, at another Amateur's Night, a.k.a. New Year's Eve. As people like Jerry are within 12 hours of the bells, I figure I better get in here and wish everyone a very happy and prosperous New Year.

One of these years, I will finally make it to Stonehaven for the fire ball parade on Hogmanay.

May your first-foot be a dark-haired lad bearing a coin, a cake, a peat, salt and whisky.

Happy New Year to you all.

:hooray: And to all a good night...............Be safe.........

Happy New Year everyone and don't forget if you're going out and drinking have a designated driver.

Prosperity and health to everyone for 2011.

Mike.

I think the health and safety boys tried to ban the fireball parade some years ago. They seemed to think swinging a ball of combustible material around your head in the middle of a crowd may have cause some injury or other, like a grazed knee. Its still here though

It' 0840 here in Colorado and -20 degrees...... reminds me of Northern Wisconsin where I grew up.

I have two new year resolutions which I will annouce to my wife at 2200 hours (midnight New Yew City) tonight. We attend a party where we celebrate the dropping of the ball in New York because we're all a bunch of old farts who don't stay up very late. The party is two miles from here. My my wife will drive home.

I must lose some weight.

I must exercise more ...... well, any at all would be more

And, if I could, I would grant my three wishes to all of you;

1. Good health.

2. Happines

3. Three more wishes

To all my on-line Bucket Forum friends...I wish you a happy New Year. Best of luck on your build projects and lots of driving fun during the year. Can't wait until it warms up here so I can get back to my build. Hope to be driving by early summer. Have tornado warnings here today. Very strange for St. Louis on Dec 31st.

All my best to each and everyone of you and your families in the new year, God bless ...

Ron

Happy New Year everyone and don't forget if you're going out and drinking have a designated driver.

Wise advice. No drinking and driving! In fact... stay off the roads so you avoid anyone who is drinking and driving!
Too many people get hurt that way.

I just had a great fondue of meats and some wine (ok.. LOTS of wine) to wash it down.
Staying in so no driver needed.

Happy New Year to you all. I don't add much here but I gain a lot from you all. Thanks.

I don't do resolutions but this year I HOPE to work on the T more. This week I'll set mine on wheels at ride weight so I can start placing stuff.
It isn't much but it's steel and it's mine. And for the first time in years I'm having fun when the human body allows it.

Next project will be a stove for the garage. It might get cold this winter. It's still above freezing but it can't stay there the whole winter.

RPM.. great chatting with you last week. It's great to put a voice to a name.
Again.. Happy New Year to you all.

Joe

To all the Bucketeers in all the far flung places, from U.K. Gerry to Russ up north and all in between (I know we have friends in New Zealand, who have already celebrated the New Year), be safe, have fun, and heres looking forward to a prosperous, healthy New Year. :kiltdance:

Peace to all, John

I've a pal that stays in Stonehaven. He said you never want to attend the parade in your best clothing, as there are hot cinders flying everywhere. :wow:

Joe, I'm with you. I never make resolutions for the New Year. Why set myself up for failure?

OK, everyone, it's time to roll out of the rack and get started on 2011.

Happy New Year everyone. I wish you all the best for the coming year.

The only resolution I ever make is to drink more beer, and I never seem to have a problem keeping that one.

Mike, I've only ever been successful with one resolution. That was to make no more resolutions.
So far, so good.

The drinking part just seems to happen. ;)

45 degrees F. After lunch I'll be in the garage working on the T. So far a great start to the year!
