Hey guy's,
Just stepping in to introduce ourselves here. I actually created this account for my nephew. He's 16 and building his first Hot Rod, a T-Bucket, (of course.) We look forward to interacting some with you guy's. Thanks

Hello from Florida! I wish someone would have helped me build a T when I was 16! Good on ya! We will need pictures and would like to know what running gear you are using.

Welcome from Eastern PA. Great to hear that we are getting some younger blood into the group

Welcome! I second that, I wish at 16 someone showed me the world of hotrods!! you two should have lots of fun building the T! good luck in your adventure.

Hey guy's thanks for the warm welcome. The boy has been into hot rods all his life, it's kind of in our blood I guess. He's the third generation as Dad built his first car, a '29 A, when he was 14 in 1964. This is very much the boy wonder's project. He has been saving his money from lawns and odd jobs for a couple years now and rather than buy a beater he told me he wanted to build a T-Bucket. What could I say? My main responsibility is keeping him focused on the project, (any of you who have had a teenage boy you can stop laughing now.) We've built a lot of hot rods around here over the years but never from scratch. We always started with a car of some sort. Well you guy's now the drill.

Now for running gear:
Through the grapevine, we sourced a running '62 Chevy II 4 cylinder. We'll put the head back on and start it in a day or two. Behind that we have bolted a non-world class T-5 from a 4 cyl. S-10 and bringing up the rear is a rusty trusty 8" '74 Maverick rear end. The car will be buggy sprung on both ends and... well I guess I'd better leave off there. I shouldn't give away all the boy's secrets. He might want to tell you about them himself. I'm going to try and talk him into doing a build thread here.
Ron, by now you’ve no doubt figured out exactly who I am and where I'm from, after all, I was in your shop this afternoon lol. Thanks again for the body. He was very pleased when he saw how nice it was and how little body work it'll take compared to some.
