[i googled it, is it the aluminum repair stuff? it seems extremely expensive..

I think they have alloys for all metals EXCEPT Ferrous. Expensive to buy and
not use yes, but break an ear off a carb, intake, trans, or a one of a kind item
and then the price can be irrelevant. I was impressed. I must break more stuff
than the average bear. A couple I can think of, I was doing a head gasket job
on a Datsun B 210, you have to pull the intake down very even and slowly. Had to
go back to the junk yard and get a lecture, because he wasn't going to sell me
another one at a good price. The next one was a 2 barrel carb for a 3X2 set up
for a 406 Ford. Someone else had broken it, got a good price and had to have it
welded up. One more, my brother borrowed my boat and burned a hole in the top of
the cylinder jug, bad cooling leak, Merc 65hp. I tried to get it welded. The
cylinder material would not take the heat and cracks, spider webbed out from the
area welded. I sure could have used some of that stuff then. Took a lick on the
price and sold it.
I'll bet this stuff would work good, putting bungs in alum tanks, making catch cans,
or beer keg tanks.
