Ordered in a B&M tranny 14,400 BTU cooler, was not amused to discover it had only "barbed" press on the hose fittings (and all my existing connections are Earl's aircraft$$$$$$ fittings).

Had to purchase adapters from Summitt racing.

Fabed up some aluminum angle, old feller in my small town does aluminum MIG welding, welded it up for me for $35.

Anway, did not want to get into cutting aircraft hose, so I looped it at bottom of radiator outlet, would have like a little more radius on the bend, any suggestions ?

Is my cooler too close to radiator fan, maybe blocking airflow ? Will test out on the road, get it up to temperature and put infrared laser thermometer all over it soon.

As long as you don't impede the flow of air OUT of your fans rear openings you should be OK. Whereever you want to mount it, I would've mounted to frame by the firewall for more airflow, but thats just me. Or under the body on inside of frame, with a small airscoop to redirect airflow thru the cooler....

Doublecheck that the slack in your motormounts won't allow movement for that HB to get any closer to that newly installed trans cooler. You SHOULD be OK....

Excellent point about the motor mounts allowing too much movement that the water pump pulley might strike the cooler - - I missed that, I will check that out right now.

I've seen a cooler mounted under the highest part of the oil pan in front of the oil pan sump at a 45 angle it may have been a bit smaller than yours though.
