Metal/Chrome 23 Grille Shells

i don't know of anyone who sells new steel shells right now. the '28-9 shell can be bought in bare steel or chrome from various suppliers and reall'y on't look that bad on a T. look at tfeverfreds first build. the shell seems to fit in just fine.

Last time i was in parr auto in okc had one hanging on their wall.
 
What was that place in Texas that old guy had every part known to man and it was in his head part numbers and location of the part he had shelf after shelf of parts.?

yep thats the guy i think Luman Al posted it.
 
I just got off the phone with Mr.Brown and he has no grill shells for the 23 he gave me a number for Classic Auto Parts in oklahoma his catalog says yes his computer says discontinued.
 
I bought one from Snyder's Antique Auto Parts last month.

Sometime ago Speedway said that the company that made them quit because the the machine that stamped them out of metal broke and it was so old there were no replacement parts for it. Your best bet is to find at Synder's or swap meet, or Ebay.

I googled it and found them $165.00 doesnt sound to bad.
