Midwest Bodies

Has anyone used any fiberglass bodies from Midwest Hot Rods & Muscle Cars? I am particularly interested in the '32 5 window which comes fairly complete with windows and inside panels/inserts which will make it easier to finish the interior.

Can You See T Bucket Forums!!!!

Hey Bert my son has a 32 glass car it has a BeBop body. If you want info on a glass 32 body check out Club Hot Rod forum and in that forum is a sub forum called Duece Den. It is all about 32's and supposedly nothing else.

Good Luck.

Please clarify!

Bert

This site and forum is all about T Buckets. Kinda like asking about a Ford F 100 on a Corvette site. There may be someone here that has one of those bodies, but I have never heard of them. But hey grab a chair and the beverage of your choice and we can talk T Buckets all day long.

Wrong site! Sounds like you're new to the internet or maybe just bought a computer. Simply go to Google and type in '32 Ford.

Thanks to Guilld for his courteous reply to my post.

Midwest also carries '25 and '27 bodies for you "t-bucket purists", so my question is simple and legitimate, and only requires an answer from anyone who has something positive to contribute to the discussion. I am neither new to the internet nor did I just buy this computer. I daresay that as a longtime auto mechanic, hotrodder, machinist, multi-craft maintenance mechanic, instrumentation & controls technician, and all-around technical type of person I would put my technical expertise up against many who inhabit these types of forums. It has been my experience while prowling through these forums and interacting with other members, that for the most part, like-minded people come to these forums to find help from others are are glad to share their expertise, experience, and passion for the hobby.

I am in the process of planning my next build and have narrowed my first choice down to using a Spirit kit. After all, whether you build a traditional t-bucket or deuce, which, by the way is offered by Spirit, the basics are the same. They all share many of the same components and go through the same build process.

Now having said all that, I return to my original question: Has anyone had any experience in dealing with Midwest Hot Rods & Muscle Cars?

Thank you

Bert

Bert, Sorry on this end. For sure, no disrespect intended. I'm also new here.

Allen, I really don't think you owe Bert an apology or were you disrespectful. You reacted on information presented to you by Bert. Which at that point was zero. Bert did not introduce himself, give a funny intro into what he wanted or say thank you in advance. Just made a request for information on a fiberglass 32 Ford from a certain manufacturer from a site that is more than predominately a T BUCKET site. Whatever Bert's qualifications are, at this point they are moot. We don't know who he is and in a way it doesn't matter. If he is here long enough his qualifications and accomplishments will become evident. It is how a man initially presents himself and how he gets along with others in the group that matters. And it is also how he conducts himself within the group in the long run that makes a difference. Wouldn't you agree Bert ? A please and a thank you wouldn't hurt.

John

P.S. And no, I have no experience with Midwest Hot Rods and Muscle Cars.

What a warm welcome for someone.RPM is the only one that responded in a civil manner, Mike is trying to build this site bigger and it won't happen like this. JMHFO

Allen,

I was just now able to get back on this forum. Thank you, I appreciate your response.

Gentlemen,

I seem to have struck a nerve here, so let's start over.

Having had several lead sleds, I am ready for a change. I have always wanted a t bucket, roadster, or coupe. Given the plethora of kits available out there one can easily end up with something that is less than adequate. So far my research has Spirit at the top of the list, for quality and dedication to their customer base. The reason I ask about http://www.midwesthotrodsandmusclecars.com/ is that they also offer '23, '27, Ts & roadsters, '32 roadsters & coupes, and '41 Willys kits. I have been unable to find any references to them on any other forums. They seem to have a quality product and the one feature I like is the inclusion of interior & trunk panels and inserts. This certainly makes finishing out the interior a lot easier. If anyone has had any dealings with this company or has heard of someone else I would appreciate hearing about it.

Thank you,

Bert

You should definitely build a T-Bucket. That's what all the cool guys build. I just got my front tires today and picked up a Model A grille shell yesterday. I'm lovin it, man!

Have fun whatever you build.

Welcome from North Central Missouri. I second the build a T-Bucket. We've have a blast building ours. My body was from Sprit and I am happy with it. RPM supplied some of the parts. I must also say that this the best site I've lurked around in.

Got to say this looks like a really cool body from them, maybe a hiboy style sitting on the frame rails with a suicide front end, what do you guys think? It is 5700 bucks.

Sorry for the short answer. but people do come to sites like this to stir the pot, so to speak. The reason most do not buy from 'other' mfgers, is the prices and shipping. $5700,00 is a bit high for most folks to shell out for a starter 'kit' or body. Here at this forum we encourage people to buy from our sponcers who have been doing this for many years with tried and true craftmanship and what works and don't work. Not just the sponcers, but many 'ol timers' here also leave us with a wealth of knowledge and pictures to read and look at so that we can build these little hotrods safe and fun. Please forgive me of my first post since I read your intro just now and hope that you do build a T-Bucket and enjoy what we all here have been enjoying for a long time. T-Test
