Perhaps not the proper use of the term "Scott" , don't think it is "Scottish", maybe "Scotland's independence.

I know the answer will probably be your own. Cant imagine you mouthing platitudes and such. Scott independence - Aye or Nay?

Also look up "Grounds Keeper Willy/ Independence" on utube. It is priceless.

Yes, YES, YES! For years, I have supported Scots independence, and I only wish I could be there, come Friday, to dance in the streets and celebrate her hard-won freedom.

It will be a long day, come Thursday, to see how the referendum will end up. And since there is not much of a spread, it will most likely come down to the wire. Westminster has been pulling out the stops on their so-called 'better-together' campaign, and I see Lizzie has implored Scots to consider their vote carefully, so I'm sure that will scare some Labour supporters back to the idea that the broken union can still be the best bet. Take a couple minutes to watch this video on the McCrone Report, which was carefully hidden away for three decades, and you will see just how Scotland can emerge as one of the richest countries in Europe, once her oil becomes her own. Which doesn't mention her wool, her whisky, her tourism, etc.

Scotland Owns Me --- Gordon Menzies

Scotland owns me, heart and heid and hand
Scotland owns me, and I own no other land
I've got nae wish tae die for Scotland
For that would nae gain a thing
But for every waking hour I'll live tae see her free again

Freedom from what asks the quisling
Our English Lords are kind, aye
But while Scotland's laws are English made, I'll ken nae piece of mind
The quisling cries aloud again
See poverty is dead, there's hostels for the sick
And the poor, and old, aye all are fed
Dinna bite the hand that feeds you; pal, my faither always said

There's dole queue's for the living and death grants for the dead
Aye, if a man can find nae work, the dole m'aye provide
But can a man still be a man, if he's lost his pride
This land of was surely pockled for the ancient Celtic tribe
While mony a Scottish, Judas hand received a Saxon bribe

A land of heroes once we were, micht be again nae doubt
But quisling traitors, dank and foul, must still be weeded out
When Robert Bruce had claimed the throne and independence rocked
He wasn't King of Scotland, but created King of Scots
And so this land of Scotland cannot be owned by man
But borrowed by our ain folk, for length of one life span

Aye, Scotland owns me, heart and hand and heid
And the sovereign soil of Scotland can claim me when I'm dead

And Scottish Dawn, performed by Ted Christopher, a Scots patriot I am proud to call my friend -

"For so long as there shall but one hundred of us remain alive we will never give consent to subject ourselves to the dominion of the English. For it is not glory, it is not riches, neither is it honours, but it is liberty alone that we fight and contend for, which no honest man will lose but with his life." - Declaration of Arbroath, 6 April 1320

From the Wallace Homecoming, 11 September 2005, at Lanark. I was standing at the left elbow of the cameraman, that evening.

I have some very dear and close friends from Glasgow, who have a tribal pipe and drum band. My pal Jamesie Johnston, singing Claymores -

And sweet Jacquie Holland, singing Scotland Is Her Name -

Scotland and her independence is a passion of mine, and has been for years. I met Jamesie and Jacquie, years ago, when they were part of another band, Clann an Drumma. I've driven all over the eastern half of this country to visit their shows and have even taken in some of their shows in Scotland. If this one doesn't get you moving, call the funeral director, you're already dead. ;)
