My (dad's) car...

As noted in my introductory post, I purchased my dad's car just before he passed away this past October. (I'm still trying to get used to the idea that his car is now mine.)

I just hit the 10 post threshold, so I guess it's time to upload some video and photos.

Here is your typical "delivery" video:

My turn to "fire it up."

He nearly finished this project -- Dad's "old school" t-bucket:

He'd been gathering parts (including this flathead) for decades, so it was great that he finally was able to build this one.

While he didn't quite finish this car, he did get to drive it (parking lot and up/down the street). This car was passed along to the friend who helped him build it. As for my car, I plan to take good care of it, enjoy it, and then pass it (along with the Nash) on to my children.

Great looking rides.

That's a very, very nice car your Dad built.

Sorry about your Dad's passing. Great that you have a nice car to remember him with. All are great hot rods, but am crazy about the flathead.
I would look forward to seeing any more pictures of it. Welcome from "The Heart of Dixie".

I don't know much about the specs other than the frame (Speedway Traditional) and the rear end (9" from a field-find donor in NY). He gathered some of the parts (including the engine) when he lived in So-Cal; I spent a week at their home in 2004 building crates for all of his car stuff for their move to NY.

The following are all the photos I have of the "old school" t-bucket; I shot them with my phone when I visited my mom soon after Dad died. Sorry for the poor quality; they were taken quickly when I had a spare moment.

Looks like drum brakes all the way around, nice. Old style buggy spring in the rear looks so right. The flathead looks like a 49-53. Should be a 239 cu inch stock. Everything looks new and well put together. Makes me feel lazy, since I have it all, just not put together. Thanks for posting.

A couple of beautiful cars.

Welcome.

Pete,
Is that T bucket in Baraboo, WI now? Or did I see a strikingly similar one being delivered after a father passing?

TJ,
Mine is located in northern California. (Wait!!! -- I just now checked my garage and it is still there! ;)) I guess you saw a similar one in Baraboo.
