My First T

Hello everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. My name's Dave and I'm building my first T up here just north of Boston Ma. I started this project around July of 2010 and have been thinking every day since then.... What Have I Gotten Myself Into?!

I'll tell you a bit about my build, I have a 1927 frame from Speedwaymotors with the triangulated rear end. The body is a 1927 from Spirit Industries... Is this frowned upon in the T bucket world, to mix manufacturers lol. Is it like putting a chevy engine in a ford? which I'm also doing...I have a383 chevy and TH350 ready to go in. I just got my fuel cell built and am quickly accumulating parts and running out of room in my one stall garage. The real kicker is that I need to have this project done by summer so I can more easily move it when I get a *bigboy* job (currently in school at UMass Lowell).

Anyways I just wanted to say hi and that I love this site. Bellow are a couple pictures of my car (haven't taken too many as of late).

Thanks
Dave

Dave, everyone has to start somewhere, and you've got a great one started!! Welcome and keep posting pics as you progress. Ask all the questions you want and they will be answered, some even with a [smirk] if you know what I mean. The only dumb question you may have will be the one you don't ask on here and just in your mind, as there is tons of talent and knowledge on this forum.
Everyone makes mistakes the first time around, so don't be afraid. It is best to ask first then build opposed to build and rebuild by not knowing without asking. Costing you more money.
DON'T give up on this project, it may drive you batty at times, but when all is done, it will be smiles per mile for the rest of your life. You are 85% there already, just take your time. The end result will be worth it.
Good luck,Bruce

Welcome! Looks like a great start. I don't see any issue with mixing mfgrs as long as you know what you're getting. There are a few 27's on this board, so if you have any questions, make sure to ask them!

Thanks Bruce and iroct. I'm sure I'll be asking questions very soon. I'm currently working on my steering and dash

If you want to see more (that is an old album), here is a link to my Photobucket Album with more build pics: Photobucket LINK
They are in no particular order, but you'll get the idea.
