Want to replace home made shifter how do cable shifters like B&m megashifter work on t buckets?

I've seen and read nothing but good things about them. Looks like the main advantage is freedom of placement. With a cable setup, you could mount it just about anywhere.

I have not seen any problem with any of the cable shifters. One thing to consider is that they have several different lenght cables. I have found that you may need a longer cable than what you measure, not sure why but I have a few extra after not heading that advice lol.

got a B&M Quicksilver on mine and I LIKE it. I got a 3500 stall, full manual trans with reversed valve body. I like the ratchet action that only goes one gear at a time - 1, 2, 3 or 3, 2, 1. and dam near impossible to hit neutral or reverse.

Those tall Genie or Lokar shifters look good but WAY to easy to miss a shift. I like to slam it in there and not worry about where its going.
