Hi all am new to t-buckets just getting started have motor an trans from doner car.bought frame from RPM . very pleased good place to start.just gathering parts and Info for now waiting for car shows and flea markets to start up for parts and inspiration for my build.
[Hi Fordnut. I think the most important thing about any car build is to get it sitting right and the "lines" right. No matter how much money some people put in to a project. if the proportions and lines aren't right, it is just ugly. Check out your local car shows and pay attention to which cars look right, and work out why. Good luck with your project. I think you'll find most car guys are keen to pass on info they have learnt ( thru making mistakes) to others

Welcome to the site. Check out our sponsors, RPM,Spirit, Wintec and CCR for all the parts and knowledge you will need to assist with your build. For all the fine details and inspiration the members are a great source.
Well dude, RPM is the place, buy the time you pay for your steel and do all the cutting, and then mess up some, then try and cut your brackets, its easier to get them from Ron.
I would myself, but I have all the equipment at my shop to do it with. The steel is getting to be a expensive commodity. Same piece last year sitting on the rack, has gone up. Has it changed? NO, steel, like everything has gone up to the devaluation on the US currency.
If your gonna build your own, check the prices...., and shop around. Theres alot of places going out of business, you might be able to get something pretty damn cheap....
Just ordered some chrome moly....almost brought tears to my eyes.
Welcome the guys are right, RPM is a good place to start. Just ordered my body from Ron should be here Wednesday . I am like a kid at Christmas ,counting down the minutes.
hey guys thanks for the response. I checked out Rons site and i might be wrong but is the frame he is advertising ready to go? im looking for a frame that is fully wlded and ready to start bolting on suspensions body etc. Any feedback would be great or another ideas? i dont have the tools to weld or do much cutting or fabricating so if i can get the frames as complete as possible that would be awesome!!

hello i'm new here and new to t buckets too. i'm picking up a older total performance t that was a running bucket a few years ago and partially disassembled and forgotten about it now has no eng/trans and needs redoing
something a lot of people don't think of is to buy all their parts from the same place. each business builds their own jigs and tooling to build their car. buying mixed brands will create some large and small fit problems. of coarse, if you can build your own parts this is not a problem.
