New Zealand T Buckets

Our NZ hot Rod Mag (NZHRM) built a Project T back in the early 70s (for $1000) and that was the catalyst for many of us to give it a go in some form or another. Some, like me were inspired, but lacked the skills, the money and the confidence to build one but got there in the end.

On the NZHRM forum, somebody started a section (the bucket list) for people to put up pikkys and info on the NZ buckets.

So here you are:

Enjoy,
Todd

Thanks Todd.
Nice to see new cars and ideas....ruggs

well most were built back in the 70s when buckets were popping up everywhere. We have never had any manufacturers making turnkey buckets so they are all different. Some "good" different & some not so. The arrival of taller & wider tyres to our shores helped transform "the look" down here

Now we are infested with 32s just like you guys are.

Where are you located in NZ? I have a friend down there who is/was a real motorhead, even after he was injured in a motorcycle accident. I believe he's in Christchurch.

ya Todd... hope you and yours are all fine.
Wish you folks the best.
I hope to go there some day.
Joe

We are on the western side of the city and we got off light. We still have power, phone water and sewerage.

5 milesa away is the city centre and they took a huge hit. About 50,000 work in there and its estimated that 1/3 (17000) wont have businesses to go back to for years or possibly forever.
Then across on the east side of the city its like a third world country. No power, no phones, no sewerage,no water, and to some, no hope.

Thank you for the international support we have received from the USA, Australia, China, Japan, and a whole bunch of others. We need it big time, and we appreciate it big time.

Is New Zealand going to let a US aircraft carrier dock in their port in order to provide assistance? I know your government has had a tiff going with the US over our navy for a long time, but that's traditionally how the US delivers aid, power, food, water, hospital services, etc.
