O/T where I was in '68...

I was 5 years old in 68 and recovering from heart surgery.

In 1968 I was 25 years old and thought I finally finished my T-Bucket when I got it licensed and was able to drive it on the street. Boy was I ever mistaken, 41 years, 3 engines, 3 transmissions and tons of other parts later and I'm still working on it.

In reflecting back on this I realized this is a very depressing thread. Back in 1968 I used to put my left hand on my windshield and jump up into my bucket, today I crawl up on the rear wheel then step over into the bucket. The gap between my stomach and steering wheel was bigger and my pants were 3 sizes smaller. I wore a hat to keep my hair from blowing in the wind not to prevent sunburn on the top of my head. I originally built the car with a 265 Chevy V-8, eventually moved up to a 327 and today have a warmed over 350 but the funny thing is the bigger my motor gets the slower I'm driving. Mark my words, getting old isn't for sissies.
