Panhard Bar

I'm thinking that I need a longer panhard bar. Looks like too many threads showing and too close to unscrewing.

What do you guys see?

Thanks

It has a jam nut on it so it's locked and unable to turn and back out. I would look at that Nyloc nut that it is mounted with and the lock washer. It sure looks like it is not tight as the lock washer is not "squeezed" flat and there are no threads showing through the end of the Nyloc nut to indicate that the bolt is into the locking portion of the nut.

You can take it out, mark the threads with some tape or a marker then unscrew it to see how many threads you have in there. It looks like the bar needs to be longer but I think some rod ends have longer shanks then others. That would be the best way to know for sure.

That appears to be a left hand threaded joint. Check the other end to see how far it's screwed in. You may be OK if you just center the bar on the ends. In other words, the other end may be screwed in too far.

I agree with Fordsbyjay, you need to check the length of the threads that you can't see.
