It's called a "speed blister" that's what Detroit speedcraft calls it. It is a cut out to make more foot room, on the front of it is mesh or perforated aluminum. Check there site. I have gotten Lots of good ideas from there cars.Can anyone explain what that hump is on the side of the green T body by the exhaust? Thanks for the pics.

If you have a body already, that design would be a consideration but if you need a body get one that is already widened like RPM 10"stretched and 6" wider body.I am on the fence on the speed blisters, I would really like the extra foot room though.
