Posted some new pictures in my album. I thought I would get them out there and see if you guys see anything that needs attention.

It looks real good. The only ting i would suggest is to remove 2 of the seat braces. You probably won't need all 5 of them. It'll also free up some room for your wiring if you're puttin it under the seat. Keep the pics comin!

Ron what do you think, keep the two outside ones and one in the middle.

I would get rid of all of it and get a seat with springs in it. Some small bucket seats or a bench seat from a mini van or even a jeep seat. DON'T use a peice of plywood on there with some foam and think it will be comfortable. It won't be , been there done that.

Thanks for the info Ron, I don't have nuch padding on my butt so I need plenty on the seat.

One thing to concider is foam is just padding on the seat bottom. If you have plywood under it, you're gonna "bottom" out sooner or later. When i build a seat bottom i cut two holes in the plywood in effect making a one piece frame. A trip to wall mart will get you some upholstery webbing and burlap. Weave the webbing and staple it over the openings folding the ends back so the webbing dosen't pull thru the staples. now cover the webbing with the burlap. This will keep the webbing from eating up the 3" high density foam layer above it. I then cover the whole cushion with muslin. All your upholsterer has to do is make up a slip-cover after that.

For those of you who are concerned about cost, do this part your self instead for paying shop rates to have the trim shop do the same thing.

Opps forgot about the seat braces. Yep keep the canter one and the 2 outside ones. Move the outer one as close to the sides of the bodie as you can.

Thanks for all the info, I guess I have to go back and study which way I want to go.

i would also consider relocating the panhard bracket on your reared. you dont want the bracket below the frame . Yours looks just like mine when i got a load in the body the frame hit the panhard bracket.move it inboard so it goes between the frame or shorten it. JMO

Believe them foam sucks for a seat I was going down the interstate south of minneapolis and the ridges in the concrete went right up my back. All foam seat SUCKS.
