Questions about gas tanks

Some quick questions.

1. Do the tanks have baffles?
2. Do they come with a sending unit? If not can you supply a sending unit (or recommend a good one to use)?
3. What are the stock sizes you carry? I have seen the 9x9x31, just curious on any others.

The tanks normally do not have baffles in them......not needed.
They don't come with a sending unit, we can install one for you.
We stock the 9x9x31 as it is a real popular size. We can make what ever size you need in about one week.

Sending units have to match the gauge you are going to use. Most all of the newer aftermarket gauges take the same sending unit. We get a lot of guys putting tanks in older cars and trucks and they want to use the original gauge that came with that vehicle, so those are different. Some guys don't even want a gauge in the dash and use a wooden stick to check there tank before leaving.

I have a gas tank and I use a fuel gas cap with a gauge, like used in lawn tractors and mowers. It isn't as handy has having a gauge in the dash. But it works for me.Better then using a stick to check fuel.

We have had several guys, have us install a small bung in the top side, and bottom side, of the tank. One over top of the other. Then they installed 90s and ran a peice of clear fuel line between them and they could see how much fuel was in the tank. Installed them in a rat rod and they could look in the rear view mirror and check their gas.

lol..no thanks I will be running a gas gauge! Okay let me get some measurements together and see just where I want it to go.

Thats funny wait till Uncle Ted chimes in he doesn't have a gage he just carries a can of gas around in the back.

On my '27 I'm running a reserve tank cause I have a very nice new oval T tank and don't want to have an ugly sending unit stickin out like a sore thumb. LOL ... my version of a spare gas can.
