Questions about trailering

I have never trailered my T-Bucket. I have an open trailer and plan on using it for several events this year. My questions to you guys that have trailered a T-Bucket before are:

Do you remove the windshield? I have had a couple of people say yes and some say no.

I have a top on mine. Do you remove the top or not during the trailer trip?

How would the windshield and top know the difference of being on a trailer and being driven under the power of the t bucket? On the other hand how do you keep the rain out on the way to the car show without tying something on that will scratch the paint by flopping in the wind while on the trailer?

I don't have a top, but I do have a folding windshield. I found with my open trailer I could gain about .5 mpg on my tow vehicle by folding the windshield on my T. A person in our local T club claims he gains over 1 mpg towing with his top and windshield folded.

You could ad a piece of material as wide as the top, placed under the top over the windshield frame and down to the out front tie rod.. This would make a great direct wind block, streamlining so to speak, also keep everything clean when it comes to BUGS.. :thumb:

Fabricate a wind spoiler and attach it to the front of the trailer, similar to what you see on the big rigs. Simple and cheap to do.

This is what I just finished. 3 sheets of plywood, 3- 2"x2"s, bolts and paint: less than $60.00. I'll be in Highland Village in a couple of wks if you want to see it.
