I have a stock front axel anyone running this style axle with no drop . If so any pics of how u set it up . Should I just look for a drop axle any info is appreciated thank u
Normally, I run dropped axles, but for my current rpu project I wanted a different look, so I am using an undropped 34 axle (similar to your A axle). Obviously, the main problem is getting the car low without dropping it, but if you mount the spring behind the axle, suicide style, it can work. Here are a couple of pictures of the front end I am using, this might give you some idea of where it will end up sitting.
Thank u don looks like the same axle I have . I really like the look . Would it be possible to get close up picture of how set it up like your bat wings anything is helpful thank u

When you mention bat wings I guess you are running hairpins instead of split wishbones ? Either way, the mounting of the spring would be similar. On a bat wing there is generally an extra hole between the two holes that are about 6 inches apart, and that is where the perch would mount. However, I am using Speedway split wishbones and they come with a 1/2 inch hole tapped with threads so you can screw in a spring perch. I didn't feel the 1/2 inch was big enough so I drilled and tapped 5/8 thread and now use a 5 degree angled perch that Pete and Jakes sells, and I screwed those into the holes.
I am also using the lowest profile Posies Superslide spring they sell, and as Jim mentioned, I raised my center perch as hgh as I could on the frame. All of that got me as low as I wanted, and if I find I need more I can reverse the eye on the spring to pick up an inch more. This picture may help you a little.
Your title says " stock model T axle". What Don has pictures of is an A axle or later. They are totally different! If you have what Don has run it, if you have a T axle, replace it as there are no modern brakes or spindles that will fit that axle.
If you have what Don shows here, and need a drop perch, to get you ride height where you want it, we have what ever you need.
thanks for more pics don .RPM im guessing its a model a axle that i have it looks just like dons .How can i check if i have a T or A axle im new to this stuff.I bought a suppose to be 27 roadster tub basically a rolling chassis so im trying to figure things out as i go .Were building a youngster frame i seen rpm you carry all the tabs for this frame set up .thank you guys for all the great info
Geez, Ron, thanks for catching that. I totally misread the title and just thought he was askinng about an A axle. But if he says it looks like the one I am using, it probably is an A. However, if it is a T axle, as you pictured, use it for a doorstop.
Here is a picture off all the axles from 28-48 that will help pickawaykid determine which one he has.
