Short Break from My Project

Well here we are taking short break from working on my project.

No, I'm not in jail......hey. who said that?

We are in Poipu on tne Island of Kauai.

For those who've been here you know how what a beautiful place this is. Why didn't we do this forty years ago?

For those who haven't, give it some consideration.

My wife is looking forward to going kayaking whike I'm looking forward to a helicopter tour with Da Captain at Inter-Island helicopters in Port Allen. It's doors-off in a 500 as in my avatar...... and lots of snorkeling and laying around.

On the plane over, I spent a couple of hours on my CAD program tyring to design a better way to mount my pedals and master cylinders. I sure do make stuff complicated. I'm going to get a drawing pad and a new pencil to sketch some ideas while on the beach this afternoon....... then when I figure out a way to simplify things, then I'll throw it on the CAD and then toss a couple of lumps of al-you-minimum on the mill and push the button when we get back to the main land.

Nice place to be.........but, take a real break and leave that CAD system alone!!!! Seems I take a break from my 27T project frequently when I run out of parts or my wife wants me to paint or build or garden or bike ride or......................know what I mean Vern? (some of you young guys won't know what I mean with that last phrase).

Aww man!! I love Kauai. My favorite of all the islands. Stayed in Poipu a couple of times. Played golf at Kukuiolono and Wailua. Hiked Waimea Canyon. Saw the Na'pali Coast. Did the helicopter tour. I get the impression you're a helicopter pilot, ORF. If so, you're going to cringe a couple of times during your tour... they get into some low airspeed/medium altitude situations that, if the old motor quits, they ain't gonna auto out of!
