In most cases there's just not enough room for the linkage and/or the extra pedal in the floor. Some folks do have them, but it's a tight fit. Plus it's a pain in the but if your in a parade or slow traffic.
I know two guys who had sticks in their Ts and swapped them out for slush-boxes for the reasons Grant (GT63) mentions. I had thought about putting a stick in my T when I first started working on it, and was talked out of it by those two guys.
Everything about an auto trans, well a 400 turbo, is better than any stick, and yes these cars are very much the same as a loaded 44 auto mag in the hands of a child... Ride safe.. :lol:
