Still feeling the loss

I was looking at some forum statistics, and noticed that it has been a tick over 22 months since Youngster was last logged into the forum. It's hard to imagine it has been so long, actually. May perpetual light shine upon him.

But although he has been gone so long, it is only within the last week that my own post count has surpassed his.

It will show you what an active, participating member he truly was. He posted in just 55 months, what it has taken me the best part of 8 years to post.

I sure do miss him...

Thats the way it usually is, the good ones are sorely missed....time really doesn't help, cause theres still a hole there. Just doesn't hurt as bad....
Anyone who'd help folks out like that is indeed a special person. I believe he'd want his plans to stay out there for anyone wanting to build a T.
For that, he'll always be honored in my book....

Youngster, Bruce and I used to talk almost daily on a chat line. We got to know one another quite well. When Bruce rode his Harley across the country from Nevada to Florida for his son's wedding he stopped by to visit for a big part of the day on his way back. A couple of days later on his ride home he crashed his Harley and died. I consider both of those guys friends and I miss them.

Hi Guys,

I'm Ron's younger brother. I was just visiting the website because I haven't for awhile. It really feels good to read all the messages about my brother. He was an unbelievably big influence on my life and I miss him every day. I am always thinking about building a bucket for fun and in his memory. He taught me so many things about life and cars. The most important was to do it yourself. It's not hard, you'll learn something and no one will care about it as much as you. He was also big on helping anyone which I can see you already know. He loved this site and all you guys.

Currently I have a 32 ford tudor and a 29 tudor. I'm down to the interior on the 29 and half done with the 32. I would like to do a bucket sometime and have lots of ideas from Ron, this site and my own ideas. I'll retire next year so hopefully there will be more time then. By the way, I'm a big fan of ex junk's car for the engineering and stance that it displays. It's amazing how many "flavors" there are of buckets here and I like them all.

Thanks
