DON'T TRY AND TALK ME OUT OF IT! I got a package today that had a set of headlight brackets that RPM made for me. The dang things are so thick, that I have decided they would be suited for a WWII Sherman tank.

1/4" plate! These will survive ANY cop car or enemy mines or mortar fire.

So, anybody have any extra tank parts laying around?:rolleyes: I'm gonna name my tank.... Little Mo'.

Or to keep the front end down you don't want those nasty wheel stands.

I thought you were making a little tank to chase down a certain Houston cop. Didn't you nickname it Miss Bitchslap?

:buttkick::rofl:

Honestly, I think they are nice and 1/4" is not to thick... JMO.

I would think if they were made of much less material that vibration and all of the elements that a DRIVEABLE vehicle endures on the road would ruin most anything else. Take a look at the aluminum headlight stands, comparetively the aluminum stands are huge and very bulky... but they are solid and firm. These headlight stands from Ron in my opinion are just right and they would be solid and firm.

The irony here is that we complain all the time about inferior quality of parts, here we have a superior quality of parts from Ron (RPM)... Finaly... and yet we still complain???

Send them to me, I'll take them off your hands proudly!!!

Bob, I was just having a little fun with Ron. I COUNT on his stuff being strong, tough and right. He not only makes a quality product, he stands behind it and ships pronto. Other companies could learn a thing or two from him. He over builds and in the case of these cars, that's a great thing.

I had ordered an alternator bracket from Speedway and by accident ordered one from Ron later. When his came, I sent the ones from Speedway back. His was TWICE as thick! My mechanic friend joked that the part that supports the alternator could be used as a nerf bar!:buttkick:

With so many products being outsourced to Asia and being of poor quality, it's truly a blessing to deal with Ron. He doesn't know it yet, but he may be doing some front radius rods for me in the very near future. Heck, I'm almost wishing stuff would break, so Ron can replace it!:rofl:

Oh, you can't have them.:lol:

I know why Ron only uses 1/4 and 1/2 plate to build everything. HIS TAPE MEASURE DONT HAVE NO LITTLE LINES.

For those of you who have never seen Ron this is not an actual picture of him, but this is the tapemeasure he uses!! Ha Ha

I Dont Care who you are thats funny right there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For those of you who have never seen Ron this is not an actual picture of him.......

He sounds taller on the phone.:lol:

I used to use 1/4 " when I use a connector rod between the two headlights, without that, I only use 3/8" material, you are correct in the fact that they tend to viberate, all by themselves... But with the small king bee style lights, they may work out ok... Looks like they are bolt on units...

These may be 3/8". I'll measure them. They probably are 3/8". That's all Ron uses.
