This would be an interesting project

What a shame. Maybe a couple of rear wheels and tires, a motor and a trans is about all that left. I imagine you could scrounge the gauges and maybe a fuel tank out of it, but everything else look much the worse for wear. I hate to see it and I hope no one was seriously injured.

You might be a little late on the first one, which is the blue one, because it states that the auction is to end 6/10/2011.

There was a guy here recently killed in 27. He was leaving the glass shop that made the body, evidently had the wheels cut, gunned it, cut a couple of dough nuts, and hit a tree.

Hot rods are fast. You definitely need to have them pointed straight and a clear long road.

There is def that power to weight ratio to respect, but the other side of the coin is ( Dont ever say this in front of my wife) that they really dont offer a whole lot of driver/passenger protection.

I know that she knows that but she just doent want to hear it. We're in denial about it.

I am not sure as to the fate of any of these car owners but it sure doesn't looks too favorable for any of them. I have an outlook towards my bucket and that is i will drive it with the cautiousness of a motorcycle. Not worried about me its the 95 year old little lady who never saw me coming and turned right in front of me once it was too late. That is the biggest concern for me.

I have ridden bikes for years and you are on the money. You need to drive like you are on a bike. This winter I am adding an amber passing lamp to the 32 for visibility.

I agree 100% with the motorcycle mentality. From the first time I drove my T I thought, this is a four wheeled bike. When I drove it, I was always on guard / paranoid just like I was ridding and really tried to stay away from others so I had room to act. The difference was, so many people wanted to get a closer look at the T that I really had to watch them as they would drift over etc. I always enjoyed making people smile, but not when they are drifting into my lane with me still in it... Be safe out there!!

It is bad enough to loose your ride and tear up the neighbors home, but I am not buying the "throttle stuck story" At least some of the people admit they were going to do a donut. I'll bet the swimming pool T guy had an audience and was going to blaze those big tires for the crowd. The tires bit and the rest of the story is in pictures. Showing out will get you, I know and learned.
