To you southern boys...From us Northern Boys

Ran a few errands during a dusting of snow yesterday. Drove home during rush hour after the roads turned to black ice. Eeeeeeuw! Winter has arrived.

Not much snow here yet... Looks like we might be able to have a thanksgiving cruise, might be zero degrees but im goin for a spin anyways. Was out delivering a gas tank for a 27 today and were oficially ice fishing now! Lots of people out on the lakes.

Global warming you say. NOT HERE it was 14 degrees here this morning. That ain't supposed to happen here till the end of January. There was about 4" of snow in the mountains here yeserday. Dang I hate winter:sad:

We got a little lake effect dusting but no real snow yet, I've got the snowblower all primed and ready to go.

I got my wife a new snow shovel for X-Mas. Got to take care of the little woman.:lol::lol::liar::liar::liar:

I've never regretted staying in SC when I got out of the Corps and not going back home to upstate NY. :D That was 29 years ago!

I did however have a brisk ride Sunday evening after finishing up adjusting the caster on my front end. Low 40's and a nice breeze off the water.
Jim

Ugh! I woke up to find an inch of snow on the ground.

And it gets worse, as it's meant to keep snowing through tomorrow afternoon.

I think it's time to take a friend's advice. I need to pack up my belongings, tie a snow shovel to the front of my truck and start driving south. When someone asks what I have tied to the front end, I'll drive another 100 miles and call that my new home. ;)

Here at the Turkey Run at the Daytona International Speedway there were 110 people from Iceland. They come to this meet every year to get a break from the frigid north.

We're a storm watch now, we've got the storm that's hitting you headed our way. It's suppose to start around noon today and last for 24 hours. They're predicting 6"-8", the blower is primed and waiting.

Wow, we are sunny and in the high 60's here in north Louisiana. I took some family for a ride in my bucket on Thanksgiving day. Not trying to rub it it guys...just thankful for the nice weather and hope you guys stay safe.

It's nice to be able to drive relaxed for a change. :D

Of all the advice I've ever heard... that's in the top 10!
