Here ya go, He He He....

"Someone stood at the window and cried one tear.
I thought that would stop the war, but someone is killing me.
That's the last time I do think anymore.
Jelly and juice and bubbles bubbles on the floor.

Castles on cliffs vanished
Just like heaps of rubbish
Seen from the stars hour upon hour
As splinters, dust, and black flowers.

From here to heaven is a scar,
Dead center, deep as death.
All the idiots have left.
The idiots have left.

Cows are almost cooing,
Turtle doves are mooing;
Which is why a Pooh is poohing
In the sun
Sun"

FROM THE OBSCURE BAND FILES..
After 20 years recording and touring Finlands preimier modern surf band is hanging it up in november. Laika and the Cosmonauts are leaving the game as freinds and near the top of the heap of the new age surf bands...Sometimes I feel like Im the only person in minnesota who would know this.. lolol

I just ordered a Leningrad Cowboys CD. They do a pretty good cover of Stairway to Heaven and Sweet Home Alabama.

I have an interesting version of Stairway to Heaven done by a Scottish group called The Far Corporation. It originally came out as a 12" 45* that I picked up in a record** shop in Edinburgh, Scotland in about 1986. A few years ago I found it on CD. It gets a little play time here.

*A clarification for the kids here. A 45 was a vinyl disc that was played on a machine that spun the record at either 78, 45 or 33 1/3 rpms and transmitted the sound through speakers via a needle (or stylus) and an amplifier.

**What the vinyl disc was called.

Thats cool!
Someone a couple years ago turned me on to this new surf stuff and Im really liking it, its heavy on the reverb on the guitars, wailing sax and not much for vocals. Just evilbayed up a new varoius artist cd this week with a bunch of this stuff, laika and the cosmonauts, pollo del mar (chicken of the sea) , the belaires and the aqua velvets to name a few. I have never heard of the leningrad cowboys so you get a kudos for stumping me!!
Ive got a pile of 45s from years ago, alot of late 40s early 50s stuff, some radio station copies, says so right on the paper label! I had a record player that was just for spinning 45s man those were the days ELVIS! I have one oddball 33 rpm 12 inch record from the late 60s. It is a recording of the first Apollo moon landing radio transmissions, its in a cardboard sleeve with a picture of the moon.
I just got a grip on running my mp3 player, technology is freakin awesome!! Paul
