Turbo 350

Well, now that I know where I'm going to get my engine, can any of you local guys steer me in the right direction for a rebuilt tranny?

Check out Redneck Performance. They are in Texas. I have one of their converters in my car and it works great. Blown-T has one also and he his happy with it.

I have a TH350 in my T. If I had it to do over again, I would go with an overdrive transmission, either a 200-4R or a 700-R4.

The differance in the 2 transmissions that have been suggested to you is the Redneck TH350 will handle 800 hp and cost over $1600.00 delivered. The 700R will handle 500 hp, give you a lower 1st gear, and have an OD top gear for hwy for under $1000.00 delivered. IMHO, when I was looking to buy a T, I only considered manual transmissions, or overdrive automatics, which left out about 95% that were for sale. I have just the 4 speed M20 manual.

Well, I found a turbo 350 from Jegs for $599. That fits into my budget, so I believe that's what I'll be getting. Also, from what I've been reading, I should go with a 2300 torque converter.
