VIN NUMBER LOCATION

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 1923 FORD T BUCKET. I THINK IT IS A TOTAL PERFORMANCE KIT.

WHERE SHOULD I LOOK FOR THE VIN NUMBER.

That is going to depend on your state as they are the ones that install the vin decal. Mine decal is under the rear decklid plus the vin is stamped in on the drivers side right ahead of the firewall. The state require two locations in Louisiana.

Also, if it is a Total body the back should say Total in the Ford script so most people miss that it is even there.

Mine is a Total and it says Ford. I understand they were forced to change it later on.

Mine was on a sticker under the seat on the body. After my re-build it was on a plate on the frame. Depends a lot on the State requirements.

Thanks for all of your reply's. I thought that the manufacturer assigned the vin number at the factory. I did find mine and it was a decal sticker on the frame. Initially I thought it was a state inspection sticker and not the vin number.
