Well, I tried to donate and it wouldn't accept my card. So, ????? It is the card I've always used, so I don't understand.
Sorry
That end of things is out of my hands. All donations are made through PayPal, so they are the ones doing card verifications. Sorry, but I cannot help you with that one.
Does the forum get anything if we use that Ting cell phone service on the bottom of the page? My kids have been after me to get one of those things for years and it looks like that's finally happening. My son has a new unlocked Samsung S5 (don't ask I have no idea of what that is) that he is bringing me, he says we just have to get it set up with a carrier.
Well, tell him to hurry. Yes, if you click on that Ting link, I will get an affiliate referral, but if you sign with Ting before the 8th (3 days), you will get $100 in service credit. Yes, I just said you will get $100 in service credit. One HUNDRED dollars. I just checked my Ting account, and a C-note will pay for six months of service for me. You have until 11:59 PM, on 8 June, to click that link, and to sign on. Ting uses the Sprint network, but they also allow roaming on the Verizon network. And the best part? You only pay for what you use. This month, my bill is going to be $19.61, total, with taxes. I pay just $6 for the line, I will be in the small bucket on minutes, so that adds $3, I will fall into the medium bucket on texts, so that adds another $5, and my data usage is in the small bucket, which is another $3. $17.00 for the service, plus $2.61 in taxes.
You can set up your new account online, without ever picking up a phone. But, if you ever find the need to talk to a Ting rep, be prepared when you dial them up. Because the service rep that answers the phone (that's right, no automated answering system at Ting) is empowered to take care of any problem you might be having. You will not be placed on hold, whilst some flunky kicks your call up to someone that might know a bit more. But let me tell you something; I purchased my Ting phone on 11 June of last year (359 days ago), and I've had to call Ting exactly zero times. They have a great customer dashboard that will allow you to check your current billing, to set up usage alerts, to turn features on and off, to move your number to a new device, to deactivate a phone you are no longer using, to check your billing history, and to do a lot more.
And the best part? If you get in there before 11:59 PM on the 8th, not only are you going to get a $100 service credit, but I will also earn $50. After this promotion is over, things will settle back down to earth, but you will still be able to refer your own friends and family, and you can earn $25, each time you do.
Yes, Ting is willing to get crazy, just to make you a Ting customer. How crazy can they get? Well, they are currently offering a refurbished Kyocera Kona feature phone for just $60. Sign on with my affiliate link, and you could not only have a free phone, but you could also have $40 in service credits. And $40 will pay for 2 months of service for me, with some change left to apply to the third month.
There are some companies that just get things right. Ting is one of those companies, so click that link, and enjoy that $100 service credit.
Let me get a Tootsie Pop, a fedora, and ask, "Who loves ya, baby?"
