great pics, thanks. How did you get so many in one post. I thought we were limited to six pics per post?

When I attach pictures the web site prompts me with " 30mb posted of unlimited supply" or something like that. We expect about 3 times the amount of T's for tomorrows Fun Run out to Julian.

Bob, Thanks for the look, almost as good as being there. :) almost... I would have to say that your ride looked as good as anything there, The color is the only thing holding that car back, I think it is very clean, but needs a bit of flash, if you get my drift... Thanks again for all the pics... Drive safe my friend.

Ted,

At the speed shop we visited, the owmer had a couple of LS motors built by the same engine shop (Turnkey Motors) that I was going to use. Sized them up and they will not fit without redoing the engine cover, which in my opinion would mess up the lines of the car. It was nice dreaming of an LS in the Track T.

Bob, You really did not need all that extra power, as it would have gotten you into trouble.. hehe Take your engine apart and see just what all you have, roller it if not already, and set it up for your bottom end grunt, so you can play :)
Before I forget to mention, that pink T you were following sure had a big bad spring hanger problem, it is a broken spring waiting to happen, all because the hangers were mounted to close together, (narrow) looked like they could have been 2" per side wider, now it would be easier and cheaper to shorten the main leaf... If anyone else is having that same no ride (unsafe) problem... Plus, there sure were a lot of cars there that had no safety washers on their Heim joints... That has got to be just plain lazy, yeah think??

Great pics. Looks like I'm not the only one with "short windshield hair":) .

Too bad about the LS. How about a 400 ci stroked out to 427? It's doable and could probably use a lot of the parts you already have on your current engine. Should have more low end grunt than you could use. You could throw in an after market EFI just for overkill. I'll bet you could do it for less than the money you said the LS was going to cost.

Mike

Ted, I noticed those same things. Some of that stuff looked pretty scary to me. :)

If some of you fellows are not running safety washers, please take the time to make the change. Bearing ends do pull out of rod ends and with no safety washer you are inviting Disaster to pay you a visit. If a heim joint breaks with a safety washer, it is a PITA. If it breaks without a safety washer, it can result in ugly places such as hospitals and funeral homes. When it comes to my backside and/or that of a passenger's, I want the absolute best pieces money can buy and I want them installed correctly.

Well it was a eventful 101 Fun Run for me. It was my 1st time running with these folks and I think I made an impression, a bad one for me as a guy that doesn't properly maintain his ride. Bad luck happens in 3's this time. First, on the return leg I lost 2 cylinders so the car was running rough and vibrating. Just as Mike and Ted said, I didn't have safety washers and my passanger side hairpin came loose and was dragging the highway with up coming expansion joints in the road surface. One of the other driver's pointed it out by pulling beside me on the paved Freeway median. He saved my bacon, as I was able to pull over on the median before the expansion joints of the road surface. Ron, one of the SoCal T's members had new housing, bushing, sleeve, bolt, washers, and SAFETY NUT, at his house. A trucker who stopped had a bolt, nut and washer that held it in place so I could get to Ron's. Ted, too bad my steering could of held out till I got to your place, but all that play turned into a locked steering. Lucky for me that happened a mile from my place as I was getting off I-15 on the offramp. Was able to limp home in 1st gear, manhandleing the steering to get a small amount of turn. I have a opening at a speed shop on Monday for a new engine. Since the LS won't fit, I'll have a 383 stroker built with concentration on a great low end, screw the high rpm horsepower that sacrafices the low end. Any suggestions from you guys? OK, enough whining on my part, and I'll post the good time pictures of day 2.

What am I missing? ... what picture(s) did you see\not see this in?

Putz.

Just some old building in Julian left over from the late 1800's. There is no public parking lots so the club reserved that field. The most modern building was the town's garage/mechanic built in 1917. Below are a couple of pictures of a golf cart at the resort I live at in SoCal.

Ted,

After all my recent events, I'm going over that T with a fine tooth comb. I'm going lock nut happy on that ride.

Deckofficer,

I am glad to hear you are going with a lot of washers and lock nuts on that real nice car. Lets keep it that way even after your problems & good LUCK on the 101 Run. I am still cleaning the oil off the front of my car from following you off the hill from Juilian. LOL

I have a request, if you would send me a couple of your photos with full pixels? I would like to have number 67 & 84 in the first bunch and numbers 89 & 103 from the second bunch. If you can send them in 4 e-mails with one photo per email I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, email mdw at pvtn.net change the at to @.

Are you still planing on the SV trip in Nov? If you are going then I will see you there in a newly fixed up Track T.

Mike

Bob - Thanks for posting all those pics from the Fun Run. We will be at Fred's in Nov., hope to see you there.

Jeff

Amazing to see so many T's, all the same as they say, but totally different, so many different strange ideas... Funny how you can post so many BIG pics, I have a hard time posting even a smaller ONE!
Bob, was the oil coming from where I thought?
