42-48 front axle is it to wide for a t

I have in my pile o parts a 42-48 long axle. From end to end it's 52" wide. Is this to wide?

The problem I see is the wish bone point is to close to the spindle to use anything except the stock wish bone.

No problem with that, we make a weld on bat wing to use more modern stuff. We offer them in spring behind and spring over. They will weld in just 30" apart.

How long a spring would you use?

Love your stuff Ron. I have the stock wishbones and ill get everything on the frame hopefully in the next couple of weeks and see how thing mesure up.

My axel is a 46 Ford, I have Ron's batwings and a 29" spring. not on the road yet, but I like the look. I have now tried 4 times to add a picture but photobucket is not cooperating. I will re read the instructions and try again maybe.
