Thanks choppinczech. I have a folder in my pictures titled T info. I save picture ideas like this so I can refer back to them hopefully sometime in the future
 
choppinczech... Nice bit of information. Would also work out very well for someone wanting to shape a tunnel from aluminum. Thanks for posting this.

I am assuming somewhere between pic 2 and pic 3 there was some sanding involved ?? I would think it would be hard to get it symmetrical from side to side.
 
I think the green stuff is "part-all" a release agent.

Yep, looks like at least 10-12 coats.

I'd make a 1/2 template of each rib and flip it over.


This guy built an entire car body using this method. Ribs spaced 2" apart. And a heck of a lot of skill.
