Anyone ever clear coated billet aluminum wheels?

I just purchased a new set of billet aluminum wheels and was wondering if there is a was to cut down on the hassles of keeping them clean and polished? What about shooting them with clear coat? Or what about clear power coating? I didn't know if the high temps of powder coating would be an issue or not.

Has anyone had experience with this?

Thanks in advance.

Much of the aluminum on my motorcycle is clear powder coated. It's held up extremely well for over 35K miles of daily commuting. It's also been subjected to Texas sun, wind and rain almost every day while I'm at work. The only finish I think might last longer would be clear anodizing, but that's not as shiny as clear coat over polished aluminum.

Clearing them is not an issue ,, they are not at the high temp long enough to harm them. But some polished wheels already are clear coated,
