Has anyone built there "C" cab body from scratch? If you did can you please send me some pix's or some plans? I am thinking on building my body. 1500.00 a pop is way out of my budget.

There is a member on the Spirit forum who built one from scratch. His screen name is: Rotten. Perhaps you could ask him for advice. You'll need to join their site to PM him. He has pics in the Gallery there.

mine is all steel as well.
First I built a 'cardboard' body to get the proportions right.
Then a 3/4 light gauge box frame and skin'd it with 18gauge steel, hand bent the bulkhead and made a tube frame for the roof nad covered that to look like a canvas roof.
all up cost was around 200 sorry $400 to you...

I am just starting to build a C-cab myself.
I was lucky enough to "acquire" a steel original cab.
its a little rough in a few spots, but then again, so am I:eek:

I'm using an older TP frame. got a little stuff for the front end. I-beam axle, econoline spindles, etc. 8.8" rear w/3.73 gears and a limited slip:cool:
