engine adapter

I just purchased a '50 F6. My intent is to use the Flathead in my 27 coupe buildup. However, this truck is straight and I am thinking that it would be useful to put a dump bed on it and use around the farm. My preference is to drop a SBC into the truck, but I also have a 302 motor. Has anyone here made this coversion? What parts are required?

So, is a F-6 a straight 6cyl. FH Ford ? Or is it just a BIG TRUCK, like 1 ton or 1 1/2 ton ?

This is a 2 ton truck with a two speed rear axle. The engine is a flathead v8. This engine has a two piece bellhousing.

If you want to keep the trans, you may be able to find one of the old chevy 8 to early v8 adapters- they want the trans to be like the 48 back ford pattern.
