Front end hops under hard braking

Using a standard duty shock on the front is better than a heavy duty shock. Also remember the greater the angle of the shock, the less effective it will be.

I'll throw this out , again, had the "bouncing" issue, tires were out of round, not just frts. but also rears. Changed tires, no more problems. dave
 
How far back or forward is your axle leaning? I had a similar problem and finally eliminated it by adjusting the front axle back a degree at a time until it quit. The top of the King Pin should be leaning back 5 to 7 degrees.
 
Had a bounce problem with mine as well and found that the biggest problem was the tires. Looked perfectly godd, balanced good but the face of the thred had shifted and the tire would not stay on the ground over twenty mph. New tires fixed the problem. As for shocks mine are mounted just about veetical and just outside the width of the frame work good for me like that.
