gelcoat over raw fiberglass

I have some sanded through areas where I sanded through the gel coat to raw glass. Should I get some gel coat and respray those areas ( along character lines). OR use some polyester primer? Will it show up later if I just use the primer?

You can use a 2K high build polyester primer. It's essentially the same thing, but even better.

FeatherFill G2 is my favorite. Easy to spray, brush or roll on. And sands out like a dream.

I use high build primer as a gel coat all of the time on parts and molds.
