forgot one pic....This is the open position to get in and out.
 
Did you try a bit of heat with a heat gun to attempt to shrink the loose places? I had tonneau covers for my trailers that would really tighten up in the sunlight. Not knocking your job at all, but offering suggestions. If I had your skill, I would attempt one for my roadster.

I hold the secret of how to get in and out of mine. You should see people try to figure out how to get in and out of it. There's an art to it.
 
Very nice, I really like what you did with the top. Am I correct, it doesn't fold all the way down? It opens enough to get in, but the car can only be driven with the top up?

Yes Jack, Car was designed for a permeant top. It could come off with two bolts and the buttons removed
 
Thanks, I might end up with something similar if I can't figure an easy way to fold mine all the way back. Thanks for taking time to post the pics!
