Interesting front suspension

Ther way an artical in Street Rodder in the mid '70's about two cars with this suspension on them. They also had the first sectioned 'glass T bodies on them. Kinda cartoon likecars, but still cool.

This looks like the same style setup from an ad in the mid seventies. Doesn't Miss Linda look great!:feedback:

Yes she does :D So does the T, a hi-po Pinto engine maybe?

Thes cars are built from a kit made by Dan Woods at Contemporary Carriage Works. The first one -orange- is the basic kit. As you see it here the price was $7500 to build in '76. The second one -with the top- is also a basic kit. It was owned by Terry Brown and took top honors at the nats south in '75. The third one is called "White Lightning". It uses some components from the kit but is mostly hand built. The fenders were made by Tom Rootleib before he opened up Rootleib Hoods. I beleive the basic kit sold for around $3500.

There is a bucket here in Phoenix with that setup if anyone wants to see it in person. It is very clean looking, and the owner says it works very well. I wonder about the angle of the drag link though?:surprised:
