Mechanical to Juice????

    Has anybody converted an early banjo to juice brakes and if so what year parts did you use to do it....

    I depends on what year rear you are using. What rear do you have?

    If you are using a '35 to '38 rear end, it's basicly a bolt for bolt swap using '39 to '48 pieces. The Model A rear end is a little weak for the kind of use most car get these days. I wouldn't recomend using one if a later one is avalible. I've never worked with a '32 to '34 rear end but would suspect they would fall into the same catagory as the A. I like to use a master cylinder from an '67 Mustang. The NAPA part # is 101485. It's a drum/drum, non-power unit. Seems to work well with the early Ford brakes.

    I have 3, 2 are early A rears, and the other is a juice set-up already but its going under my brothers Sport Coupe..I'll probably have a good chunk of cash in one making it a good reliable rear for this project..The first 2 are perfect early mechanical banjos just not sure what to do with them....
